In October we had a German focus to our lessons at Ysgol Tir Morfa Special School, North Wales. There were some fantastic activities across the whole school including art work inspired by the artist Paul Klee and Berlin Wall graffiti; narrating the story of Hansel and Gretel; sensory stories; music; collecting data on German cars in the car park; price comparison of items in Aldi and Lidl; research on the Berlin Wall; language work and plenty of cooking of German delicacies. Caffi Morfa became the Café Schnitzel for the week and served daily specials of apple cake, bratwurst sausages, pretzels and apple schnitzel.

The grand finale was a German market on the Thursday open to parents with stalls selling sausages, German crafts, live music and displaying the work produced during the week. The café Schnitzel was jam packed as the wafts of cinnamon, apple and coffee added to the lovely atmosphere. Thank You to everyone who attended and to pupils and staff for their hard work.
